Cut the lemon and the onion in half and put inside the chicken.Allow the chicken to marinate for 6-24 hours, the longer the better. Rub marinade all over the chicken, including under the skin and on the inside. Blend the marinade ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.If you have not already included potatoes in the pot, serve with rice or mashed potatoes.Leave to simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes, or until any green vegetables have cooked through. Also, add in your thickener of choice either cornflour or chicken gravy granules and stir. Stir in any green vegetables (peas, broccoli etc).
